    AIPT - David Brooke Nov 5, 2025

Echo: Seeker of Truth #1 is a heartfelt, layered, and gorgeously constructed celebration of Native American storytelling within the Marvel Universe. Through personal essays, interviews, and richly rendered comics, the one-shot honors both Echo's evolution and the creative voices shaping her narrative. Taboo, B. Earl, and Jim Terry deliver a noir-infused detective tale that deepens Maya Lopez's identity while highlighting the broader importance of cultural visibility in superhero fiction. Even with a final tale that has been published digitally before, it's an essential, artful entry in the Marvel Voices line that balances heritage, heart, and heroism. Read Full Review

Echo: Seeker of Truth #1 manages to honor the character of Echo and her nearly thirty years of comic history while also bringing a great indigenous story to comic book stores in time for Native American Heritage Month. With a sharply written story and colorful artwork, if you have any interest in Echo as a Marvel Comics character or simply want to support your heritage, I gladly recommend Echo: Seeker of Truth.
