  Well! It seems like a really good beginning of a renumbered Hulk series. I'm not a fan of Byrne and his writing, as the artist he's much better imo, but yet the story is fine here and very intriguing! Somehow Bruce changes into the Hulk and when he changes back he isn't somewhere amongst the destruction. His clothes don't even ripped. Either it wasn't Hulk, or I dunno... By the way, the comic has everything a good Hulk story needs: Bruce moves from town to town, he has nightmares, he looks into mirror, he meets people and blah blah. Simple as that, but always works. The art of Ron Garney is awesome as hell! I also love the coloring of that era, this is soooooo freaking cool... I also loved how Byrne made Bruce to clean his mess up, I ne ver saw that before and it's ironic. Yet, I found this Bruce an asshole, because he knows how dangerous he is, but yet he still lives with normal people and endanger kids... The "bullet in my head is a cowardly way" monologue was selfish and naive as hell. But these flaws don't make the comic really worse - for now I'm impressed and want to read more and that's all that matters. There's also a short second story even when the first one was already bigger, than other 20p stories. It's a "funny" recap of Hulk's adventures, but a very brief and pointless one, plus I see, that Byrne tried to set his Chapter One annual to be a canon for the Earth-616. Not a fan. And yet I won't change the rating because of this story: it wasn't important and the pointlessness of it doesn't make the comic worse. Plus it was cool to see Byrne drawing this. more
