I'm still loving this series. It's a fresh story to an age old character and this issue leaves the reader on a cliffhanger. I loved the description of the tech Banner was using, and the fact that Hulk really isn't the bad guy here since he's saved Banner numerous times. I loved the transition between past and present in this issue, but I still have a problem with the art because to me it's a bit inconsistent in the faces. The art is still a mess. Whilce Portacio still draws Banner like a skinny hipster and he's still trying to mimic original artist Marc Silvestri. Some of the panel layouts are cool, but overall the art is incredibly underwhelming, even sloppy. Where does Hulk go from here and is Banner really dead? I should be driven to find these answers but the way Jason Aaron writes, I just don't care. Still, Incredible Hulk #6 is, thus far, is the dog with the least amount of fleas. Read Full Review

Six issues in, it's fair to say that there are things in Aaron's "Incredible Hulk" run that haven't yet delivered on the initial promise and perhaps it's that the story is too long. There's one more issue to go before Aaron is joined by a more subtle and understated artist in Steve Dillon, which may have a positive affect on the writing. Read Full Review

Whilce Portacio's artwork is strongest when he is tasked with drawing Hulked-out creatures and ugly henchmen, which there are ample amounts of in this issue. However, during the Hulk vs. Banner fight, the flow does not always come off as intended and the rhythm of the battle is lost. The fight actually has some cool moments that make Banner out to be a tough and dangerous opponent, but all that falls to the wayside when considering that this fight is against the Hulk, who requires much more creative measures to be defeated. Banner & The Hulk taking turns smashing each other gets a little stale, but its a lot of fun watching Banner use his own modified Hulk-weapons that would make The Punisher jealous. The Bannermen are ridiculous to say the least. All in all, a mediocre issue, but at least it has an explosive ending. This title is a massive misfire. I'm not sure who would like this, but perhaps if you like crazy action or Hulk stories that are a little more bizarre than plot driven then maybe you would like this. Beyond that, I can't see picking this up. Read Full Review
