Rhodey stops from cutting his throat after a severe headache causes the Mandarin to lose control of him. After escaping, Iron Man (Rhodey) diverts Chinese fighter jets to fire their missiles at the Mandarin's mountain base. Iron Man destroys the Mandarin's machine that is killing the Chinese rice crop in order to start a war with its neighbors. After returning to NYC, Iron Man checks out the alien structure in Central Park & vanishes within. (Cover date: April, 1984)
