While not exactly breaking new ground, nor exactly retreading the past, Iron Man and The Armor Wars is a nice introduction to Tony Stark and his superhero identity Iron Man for younger readers who may not have picked up an Iron Man title before, and older readers who just dont want to have to worry about a lot of continuity. Comic Book Resources - Doug Zawisza Aug 5, 2009

This book is clearly designed with the impending Iron Man frenzy in mind. Following Comic-Con International: San Diego and prior to the release of "Iron Man 2," this book is an easily approachable tale for seasoned Iron Man fans or neophytes. While the more seasoned fan may find this tale to be rudimentary, the newbie is sure to be introduced to iron shavings here that are new to them. From Rhodey and Pepper to the Crimson Dynamo and beyond, all of the big pieces of the Iron Man story are here, with more on the way. If you've been "Dark Reigned" away from the main "Invincible Iron Man" title, this book offers a nice, continuity-free fix. Read Full Review
