Marvel Adventures launches a Fantastic Four series with an all action-packed premiere issue! New York City is throwing a parade in honor of their favorite first family, but it looks like rain is in the forecast in the form of Dr. Doom! Will MR. FANTASTIC, THE INVISIBLE WOMAN, THE HUMAN TORCH and THE THING be able to save the day and keep Times Square as clean as an all ages comic?

    With Jessica Alba's casting as Sue Storm, Marvel has been experiencing a Sue Storm Renaissance. Brandon Thomas in Tales of the Thing made Sue a kickass super-hero, and Sumerak follows suit. He can't top Sue actually creating a force-field quarterstaff to beat the snot out of Wrecker, but he and Eaton work her ubiquitous cosmic powers to very satisfying ends. They show off her wit and an intellect that's only topped by Reed who Sumerak imbues with a calm cunning. Torch and Thing provide that special oomph, and everybody is out on the street trying to save lives. So, this is not a mindless battle and while fun has weight. Read Full Review
