An irradiated cockroach collective has decided it needs a human host in order to take over the world, but they need a strong one. Who better than the ever-loving blue-eyed Thing? Can The Thing and the rest of the FF stop the roaches before they take over the Thing's body and then the world?
Eliopoulos' plotting isn't outstanding, but his characterization for the quartet rings true, and their dialogue is a delight to read. Ronan Cliquet and Amilton Santos bolster Eliopoulos' story with superb artwork that's realistic and detailed without being being overwhelmingly photo-based. In summary: Amazing art, and a story that isn't spectacular, but at least fun. Now the big question: Is it worth buying? Well, if you need an extra Fantastic Four fix and want to see some great art, (and a rather humorous "Mini-Marvels" strip, almost forgot that!), sure go ahead.
