    Major Spoilers - Thomas J. Angelo Oct 18, 2012

This book was, in a word, excellent. For a one-shot, it contained everything one could ask for from a miniseries or even an ongoing. Heartache and grief for the lost father is here, some nasty villains, and a butt-kicking mom. I'd love to see the continuing adventures of our two protagonists as they continue fighting for survival in the wasteland of the Marvel Zombie Universe. This one-shot could very well be the start of a new saga in the franchise. But I shouldn't get ahead of myself here. Buy this book and enjoy it for what it is: a fresh take on the Marvel Zombies world and an excellent book to get you in the Halloween spirit. Read Full Review

    Comics: The Gathering - Favian C Oct 18, 2012

The story is short and simple no backstory required, heck! You can pick this issue up not knowing Marvel Zombies existed and understand it fully. The story is not story driven but character driven, and follows the story of a mother and her son, that’s about all I can tell you without ruining the story for you! It begins with a The Walking Dead vibe, giving it a sense of hopelessness and disillusionment. If you've never read The Walking Dead, well this would give you a good idea of what it's like, but without all the super heroes of course. The story is clearly geared towards Marvel's younger audience by not being to graphic or gritty, and its story is less on edge. It may not be as great as the original Marvel Zombies but it is a fun read... but what's Halloween with out Zombies? Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Ryan K. Lindsay Oct 19, 2012

"Marvel Zombies Halloween" has that balance of heart and gore that most Halloween specials go for now. There is fun to be had and a smile still to remain at the end. Fred Van Lente seems to purposefully make this book a great treat to hand out to those who knock on your door on Halloween Night. If you dim the lights, full your boots with candy and get the fire crackling just right, this is a perfect bedtime read for parents and their kiddies. Read Full Review

It more like the Walking Dead now, even their house is almost the same as the Carl's house in #193. Surprisingly nice story and good art. And I was even more surprised, when I noticed, that the writer is Fred Van Lente... Didn't know he can write readable stories! However, it's a new universe, made only for this one-shot. Makes it kinda pointless for the whole Marvel Zombies saga. But the idea of Kitty being the survivor is fine for me.
