Marvel Zombies: Red Band #2 deepens the series' mix of heart and horror, grounding its apocalypse through Jean Grey's haunting perspective while expanding the chaos to Battleworld. Ethan Parker and Griffin Sheridan aren't making a gory shock comic, but a stuffed-to-the-brim adventure that's a carefully constructed, character-driven reimagining of Marvel's darkest corner. Plot
This version of Marvel Zombies reimagines the Marvel Comics origin story from the 1960s. This installment chronicles Jean Grey's first day with the X-Men, where she had to escape the mansion because everyone was infected.
Jean tries to stop the zombie massacres and meets Jessica Jones. She introduces her to Spider-Man, and the three enter a futuristic structure. There, they are transported to Battleworld, a world created by the Beyonder. This reimagines the Secret Wars event. On Battleworld, they encounter Captain America, Iron Man, Ultron, Doctor Octopus, She-Hulk, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Jean Grey, and Spider-Man.
