Everything has been leading up to this momentous conclusion!Morbius just found out The Rose has an Ultimate Nullifier in Brownsville.The Rose just pressed the trigger.
It's a solid installment, building on last issue's suspense and taking it several notches higher, for what will hopefully be an explosive end to Morbius's hobo-to-hero transformation next issue, or, perhaps, an intentionally humorous pop. And with the title's untimely end coming in October being heralded as the “death of Michael Morbius,” one wonders if whatever result comes about next issue will be bittersweet or just the beginning of the end. All in all, it's a bit much for new readers, but still is tons of fun. The recap page in the front is good to bring readers up to speed, but there are still multiple underlying things that need answers. Read Full Review
I have to admit folks, as much as I enjoyed reading this issue, sitting here analyzing it and talking about it is pretty bittersweet for me. This issue is, in a nutshell, a demonstration of the potential this series had and where it could have gone. Morbius, his would be "sidekick" Becky, and all "Mike's" old monster friends (making I believe, their first appearance in the series). There have been a number of books I was reading ending recently, but this may be the only one I will be legitimately sad to see go. You all really should give it a chance if you haven't already. Sadly this will never materialize but for what it is Morbius is a fantastic read and Issue 8 is no different. Full of revelations of one's self, the true spirit of friendship and monsters. Who could ask for much more? Read Full Review
