I hated all the random deaths, but I'll have to accept them. Despite that, this is still an excellent read and really sets the stage for the final chapter, bringing all the random subplots (except Jamie for some reason) together for one final, epic battle. Every time I think "Messiah Complex" has shown its entire hand, it's got another ace up its sleeve (no Gambit pun intended). If it can nail the finish next week, we'll have a classic X-Men story on our hands. Read Full Review
I'm not sure if the next part will be a double-sized issue, because there's still a lot of lingering questions that need to be answered. Knowing Marvel, we'll have to wait for the upcoming X-Men Divided arc to get the answers we need. Read Full Review
Kudos to all of the authors in this book, and to the editors for the characterizations in all of the X-titles right now. Keeping such close tabs on the continuity of a collection of characters with muddled histories, especially Gambit, Cable, Cyclops and Bishop, is to be commended and noted by the industry. By the end of the issue, all the pieces and parts have come together, though were back to having Bishop, Cable, and Predator X fighting over a very cute little baby. Its decent enough as a New X-Men issue, if confusing, and the writers do keep the systemic overload of characters in character. But the cover (one of Finchs best, looking like a lost Durer etching full of young mutants) eclipses the art within completely. Read Full Review
I cant wait for tomorrow. Thats all I can say. Ive loved every issue, every page of this crossover. I really hope that the future of the X-Men can live up to the insane quality that the creative teams have brought on with Messiah CompleX. This is my other Pick of the Week. Read Full Review
