I respect the ambition to do a classic "hero's crisis of faith" episode, but in execution, this leans much farther toward "clichéd" than "classic." Not just lines of dialogue but entire scenes are pulled wholesale from the narrative bargain bin. The art strives to amp up the tension and overcome the slow pace, but once again, it comes off as melodramatic.
