HOW TO MA.I.M. A MOCKINGBIRD CONCLUSION!
• Maria Hill strikes a deal with...A.I.M.???
• Some are dead. Some are alive. Some are in between. And some quit.
• The Secret Avengers will never be the same.
This was one of the most intriguing, dynamic storylines of the past year and it even had the decency to resolve itself in a satisfactory, satisfying way. The characters are hardly unscathed, but most of them may never remember exactly how they were scathed, as it were. Theres an amazing image of Maria Hill near the end of this issue where she gets a closeup that sums up so very much of this title. She knows what she has to do, but she hates that she has to do it. While not all scenes and endings are equivalent to each other, the resonance of certain themes as well as the amazing artistic contribution of Luke Ross and Matthew Wilson makes this finale a great read despite some of the few flaws it possess. Read Full Review
So a lot of stuff happened , and somehow not much of anything happened? Stay with me here. This issue had me confused so you may have to reread it once or twice. So Maria Hill strikes a deal with MODOK and the war between SHIELD and AIM ends. Mockingbird goes back to normal after her AIM brainwashing. Taskmaster survived his execution, but it was never really revealed if he was loyal to SHIELD or if Andrew swayed him to AIM’s side. We get no answers as to why Nick Fury Jr Kills so much, and Clint never finds out why Fury Jr shot him. We still don’t know why Clint and Nat joined. We get no answers on Reverie. And I guess Daisy’s war one SHIELD with Bucky and Nick Fury is for Ales Kot’s upcoming run. Anyways I just wished we had one mmore
