Jody Houser is putting together an interesting story in which we see Krrshish struggle with his fear and anxiety surrounding his visions and his concerns about his Trandoshan friend. The dialogue between the Wookie and Yoda is well-handled and consistent with the way that Yoda speaks. Read Full Review
Jody Houser steals much mystery by revealing the truth behind the dark vision Krrsish fears. Still, I like how her story suggests that anxiety transformed heroes into villains that transformed the Republic into an Empire. Rich, vibrant art conveys the battle for Krrsishs soul in Star Wars Yoda #5. Like some Jedi who came before him, let's hope the Wookies story doesnt end in tragedy. Read Full Review
Overall, Star Wars: Yoda #5 is an issue which shows how darkness resides in all of us. The story by Houser is exhilarating. The art by the creative team is dazzling. Altogether, a story that being slow to hate, is harder than anyone can imagine. Read Full Review
Yoda's not a big player in this storyline, allowing Krrsish to stand at the forefront, so it's similar to the first arc in this series in that way. Which is a mixed bag because I wanty more Yoda but I know we'll never really get much about him per se. His interactions with the students is decent but we're in a situation where Krrsish is hiding so much of what's going on and even though it's causing problems it's not getting the attention it should. I'm curious to see how it'll unfold as part of me doesn't want to have all the stories end on a positive but you also want to see what the Jedi espouse as beliefs show some resilience and being worth doing.
