Superior Avengers #2 builds on the debut with a confident stride into morally gray territory. Diablo is a great villain-of-the-month, but its Dooms slow-burn planand the question of whether these “heroes” are pawns or monstersthat makes this series compelling. Steve Foxe is crafting a cerebral, sinister remix of the Avengers, and it's only getting better. Superior Avengers #2 is a solid issue but less good than issue #1 because synergy with the One World Under Doom event is off, and at least a third of this issue is filler. Steve Fox delivers a big idea with loads of intrigue, and the art teams worked together beautifully for an excellent visual experience.
