"Taskmaster" could have been, by all rights, a throw-away mini-series. Instead it's one of the smartest new books I've seen come along in a while. Van Lente and Palo have kicked their work up several notches, and I'm dying to see the remaining issues. Who knew a mini-series about a villain that trains other villains could be so entertaining? I was originally a bit on the fence when it came to whether I was going to pick up this mini-series, but I've been pleasantly surprised thus far by how much I've enjoyed the series. Hopefully the next three issues can keep up the pace, and I look forward to seeing how the twist at the end comes into play and directs the rest of the story. Plus, I can't wait to see what exactly next issue will be like, as the promo page in this issue merely says "Next Issue: A Village of Hitleres?!!" Read Full Review
