It's an exciting, action-packed story with the usual fine efforts by writer Brian Bendis and artist Mark Bagley, as they keep us on the edge of our seats - but as much as I'm enjoying this story, I have to admit my pal Dave would be laughing at this issue. Read Full Review
With the Ultimate Comics Avengers vs. New Ultimates tie-in hopefully behind us, this storyline seems poised for a strong finish. Whether or not Peter Parker actually dies this summer, I look forward to what the rest of 2011 holds in store. Read Full Review
Ultimate Spider-Man #158 was a good calm before the storm issue as Brian Bendis sets the stage for Spider-Man to make his final stand against his Rogues Gallery. With an adept hand at writing all of the characters, Bendis has built up this storyline to have a great ending. Whatever next month, whether it truly leads to Spider-Mans death or not, I know this, I cannot wait to get my hands on the next issue. At the same time there was one big problem this issue faced that kept this issue from being a home run. With that said if you have been following this storyline from the start you will not be disappointed as there is a lot of great character work throughout the issue. Read Full Review
Whether Bagleys return had anything to do with Bendiss decision to go old school, its a true pleasure to read an issue of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man that could have easily fit into the early portion of the series first volume. In the unlikely event that Spider-Man really does meet death in this story, hell be going out just as he came in. Read Full Review
