My only real complaint is at around pg.10 where the action is interrupted to show the more political side of the conflict. I'm alright with scenes where characters sit and talk, but I feel like it really broke the pacing of the book in this instance. I'm a fan of thrillers so I like the behind the scenes player moving his chess pieces into place. Mr. Morez is a mysterious but powerful villain, and Humphries knows how to convey the Ultimates as a team rather than a group of individual players. The art, however, hinders the story. It was difficult for me to be fully engaged by a book whose visuals diverted my attention. But I like grand, sweeping stories, so I'll stick with The Ultimates to see "Divided We Fall" through. Ultimately the Divided We Fall storyline shuffled slightly forward instead of taking a regular issue step. What do we have at the end of this? Texas is down a nuke and the same guy is 'effing with everyone in a clear attempt to establish a new leader for the continent. Make this issue a dollar cheaper and I would say it's probably worth picking up to get the whole story for "Divided", but with a $3.99 price tag I say skip it and wait till next month.
