    Land is a fun artist to work with, from the look of his work that makes half of the text and captions from the writer useless. Its a pity that Land wasnt given the opportunity to be the eyes of the readers for this story. Its compelling artwork and strong storytelling. Read Full Review

    In spite of the glaring flaws that have begun plaguing Uncanny X-Men, I'm not ready to denounce the new direction or creators just yet. There's certainly a sense of the old '80s playfulness and plenty of potential in the concepts that Bru and Fraction are conceiving. It'll be a star title if they can work out the technical glitches in the coming months and smooth the rougher edges. Read Full Review

    As an aside, I would like to say right now, that Pixie is an unknown character to me. I have heard complaints from fans that she grew up too fast. Thus far, the character reminds me of the original appearances of Blink, who is one of my more fondly remembered characters. If Fraction and Brubaker can write a solid character for Pixie, I say we give them a chance. Read Full Review

    Uncanny X-Men #501 was an atrocious read. This issue was far below the standard that I expect from a big company like Marvel. And what depresses me the most is that Tenzil just e-mailed me today with a link to the Lying in the Gutters column that gives a green light to the rumor that Matt Fraction will be taking over Uncanny X-Men completely as Brubaker is set to exit the title.
