    (Cover Date: May, 1988) Summary: After the new Hobgoblin violently busts into the Kingpin's HQ, the Arranger tells him that if he wants jobs as a hired assassin that he can prove it by killing Spider-Man. Peter leaves his party after learning from Harry that the Hobgoblin is creating a disturbance at the Lincoln Tunnel. Spidey discovers that his movements & reflexes are off while fighting the Hobgoblin. Spidey suspects the punch at the party was spiked. The fight ends when Hobgoblin loses his cybernetic control over his bat-glider after crashing into a light tower & erratically flies away. After Peter returns to the party, creepy Mr. Muggins admits to spiking the punch.
