While I continue to enjoy elements of this series overall, and spending time in this period and with these versions of the characters, there is still a general disappointment with it overall. Following-up the original miniseries should have been a more low-key and personal thing, something that wasn't big on action and more on character and setting. But that's just not how it works so we get a lot of action and a constant barrage of it. I wanted more from this, but I should have known better, and admittedly am a bit frustrated with myself in enjoying some aspects of it. Man, Chris Claremont really phoned this one in. This was one of the worst written comics I've read in a while, and Claremont is probably my all time favorite comic writer. The art was really bad too. Just an all around bad comic.
