On the flip side he might be either what has summoned them or the one that ends up loosening them upon the world(s). The pieces are all finally on the board and the crossover is coming. X-Treme X-Men #12 is on a good path to take the series out on a high note. It may not have the most talented artists working on it in the end, but Greg Pak is on a mission with this series and has delivered on every issue thus far. He made this series really special, and it is because of that that this reviewer is really excited to see what he can do with Batman/Superman and anything else he may be working on. Unfortunately, the title stumbles towards its conclusion, and longtime readers may not get the pay-off we were hoping. Again, I put none of the blame on the likes of Pak or Araujo, or even Marvel " if the ending feels rushed, it's because it probably was. With Dazzler and crew having defeated the evil Xaviers, they are mysteriously transported to the dimension of AoA, so that they can get involved with the story of that dimension's Nightcrawler in the X-TERMINATION event appearing in multiple lower-tier X-titles. Even with the slightly lackluster finale, I'll always remember Pak's far too short run on X-TREME X-MEN. It was original, inventive, intelligent and passionate about breaking down stereotypes.
