X-treme X-men may be just another X-men comic to most of the comic world. It's also remaining unaffected by the AvX event and Marvel NOW! To anyone not hardcore into X-men this may seem like an unnecessary title, but for hardcore X-men fans it's a fun read that steps back from the norm and goes balls to the wall, flamboyantly creative. Unfortunately, the artwork takes a significant step back again. Stephen Segovia returns for a handful of pages, and his style is just as muddy and harsh as it was before. But most of the issue is instead handled by Raul Valdes. Picture X-Men by way of Aeon Flux and you'll know what to expect. That sort of design sensibility suits the current setting well, but the angular, distorted, and sometimes sexually androgynous figures don't. Read Full Review
If Dazzler is not the most annoying character in a comic book, ever, she definitely comes close. The art is still terrible, but the story largely makes up for it this time.
