The third issue of Ted Naifeh's new series! Ülga is interrupted in her escape attempt by a curious teacher. Revealing why she came to the Academy in the first place, Ülga may have finally gained an ally-but she may also have gained another enemy.
The dialogue in this comic is always so great. Even if there have been some missteps in some of the characterizations, the dialogue has always made me laugh. Something about princesses saying Burned! and Oh snap! just tickles me. The humor becomes a little more situational in the second half of this issue, with Princess lga and Lady Julifer getting their butts kicked by Julifers unicorn. Moments like these start to move Julifer beyond the stereotype of a shallow, vapid girl and into the realm of real character. This continues to be quite the series and definitely one that you should check out. I mean the premise along is still enough to warrant a look; a barbarian princess attending a school for royal princesses? Come on, what's not to be interested in. Then when you add in the fact that the story and art are both pretty fantastic, it makes it a no duh. Read Full Review
Princess Ugg #3 turns it around and reads wonderfully, although the two part split is a little . That said it's a good read and should get adventure fans excited for the next issue! Read Full Review
