The Life After #6is far from a perfect comic. The overall narrative feels as rudderless as the characters themselves, whose motivationseems to be simply "go somewhere else." That doesn't seem like much to sustain a long-form story. However, Fialkov's ability to inject each installment with twisted humor and original concepts " combined withGabo's fantastic artwork " makes it easy to come back for more each month. The Life After #6 excels with its comedic humor, intriguing artwork, and monster creation, but these factors do not make up for its numerous shortcomings: subpar dialogue, lack of character emotion, poor or absent transitions, and lack of flow in a number of a panels. This opening issue to the new arc failed to live up to expectations set in the previous five issues.
