The Sixth Gun #48 is a great issue to kick off this last part of the story. The plot thickens with each page and I applaud these creators for continuing to move this story along rather than just having a 6 issue gunslinging blowout to cap all this off. This comic is as unique as ever and anyone who has read the series at all needs to catch up and be ready for Bunn, Hurtt and Crabtree to bring this one home. Read Full Review
The tension is palpable as we near the end of this seminal series. You can't help but be filled with anticipation with each step these characters take towards Boot Hill. This is more than an old-fashioned showdown at high noon. There's a good chance that no one will come out of this alive. We're 48 issues in " more if you count the mini-series tie-ins " and the creative team can still surprise and excite with each page. This is going to be one wild ride. Read Full Review
Despite any digressions (and there were almost too many), Becky and Jake have always driven this narrative. Bunn has occasionally separated them in the past and while that stretched the central narrative and allowed for more exploration of the book's world, the story was always a little less interesting. Now, with only 3 issues left, Bunn has no choice to keep them together until the very end. It really is the perfect time to jump in, all the good stuff, no waiting around for it. Read Full Review
