  A modern masterpiece worthy of the highest praise, Batman: Death of the Family takes the most psychologically challenging of our super-hero/villain mainstays and amplifies their traits times ten, delivering what could possibly be the defining Joker story of our generation. A beautifully written and drawn story from beginning to end that revels in its sickness the way only the best horror stories can, this volume is one no Batman fan dare I say, any fan of the comic medium can afford to pass up.
