    So I searched around online and found the Metal Gear Solid Omnibus. This is a roughly 400 page collection of the entire MGS comic run. As a whole, the comics are a direct port from the first and second installments in the video game series. If you are new to MGS, then this would be a great place to start. However, if you are the fan of the games, the stories depicted are all too familiar. But at the same time, they are not.The tone is a lot darker then what is established in the game series. The most memorable change to me, being that Hal Emmerich's (Octacon) face is shadowed through the entire comic. This a great representation of the sorrow that he must deal with throughout the series. Many of the memorable moments within the games also feel refreshing. The epic battle between Liquid and Solid, the theft of Metal Gear Ray, and the final stand made by a hairy pitted woman known as Olga. It was fun to experience it all again.
