  All in all, Untethered #1 was an enjoyable and fun read of magic, melancholy, and mayhem. The small disconnect between characters doesnt prevent the reader from finding themselves inexplicably drawn to the characters themselves, and the barkeep is a lovely old grump, and I can safely recommend this for anyone who is looking for a thrilling adventure but doesnt want to commit to a million plot twists and surprises.
