Archer and Armstrong should be on your pull list. I keep jumping back and forth on whether this or X-O Manowar is Valiant's best book, but right now, A&A is taking the cake. This was a great issue as the story gets revealed and the reader starts to understand how this book will play out. I love how this book feels like a great adventure film, and it reminds me of some of the great adventure films from my youth. The synergy between these two creative talents is one of the most impressive elements of this book. The chemistry and the balance between story and art is what makes this book one of the best comics on the market and quite possibly the best comic from Valiant. Of course, a huge part of the book's charm and humor comes from Clayton Henry's artwork. He handles the action well enough, but he really nails the smaller moments; the looks that Archer and Armstrong give to each other. This is a great looking comic book that deserves your attention. Plus, in this issue he draws some ninja nuns. If the idea of Archer and Armstrong throwing down with ninja nuns doesn't get you excited, then you are truly lost. Read Full Review
I highly recommend this comic and the other books under the Valiant banner as well. These guys are really knocking it out of the park and this is definitely a book to watch. Reading this comic is as much fun as you can expect to have with your pants on. Read Full Review
That aside, ARCHER AND ARMSTRONG #2 is even better than the debut with many more laughs and a story that finally gets off the ground. If you were hooked on #1, you'll love this one. If you weren't sold, give #2 a read anyway. It's great fun and worth every minute. Read Full Review

Archer & Armstrong #2 is fun stuff. Nothing super-hilarious, but I am duly entertained. I must clarify that I haven't read the original Valiant Comics, and a reader did point out last time out that this seemed like a rehash of stuff better told in the previous incarnation. I can't speak to that, but I'd be interested in hearing what other old Valiant readers might have to say about it. As a newbie, though, it's a good time. Read Full Review
