I highly recommend this seriesit has an incredible creative team that has knockedthis issue out of the park. Van Lente has a strong grasp on the characters and is pacingan incredible first arc. The visual team is pumping out solid issue, after solid issue. Asa team I think they are getting better with each issue. This is fun. The use of "nunja" is itself worth the price of admission, but the thickening plot is well-handled, the art is awesome, and it's clear why our protagonists have teamed up: They need each other to balance out. Character-wise, I find this incarnation of the heroes to be superior to the original (where Archer was kind of annoying, to be honest) and Archer's use of fake curse words to express his frustration is a scream. Archer & Armstrong #3 keeps the streak intact, delivering an entertaining reading experience that's multi-layered and fun, earning 4.5 out of 5 stars overall. Read Full Review
There's part Indiana Jones here, part comedy, it's a great mix all together. How the villians, the 1%, haven't cause more of an uproar is beyond me. Easily the best of Valiant and one of the most entertaining comics on the market. Read Full Review
I'm looking forward to the next issue to see what new trouble the Sect manages to cause (or not) as well as seeing how Archer and Armstrong deal with the situation...and generally, this issue just leaves me having enjoyed the story so far and wanting to keep on reading. ARCHER and ARMSTRONG continues to be one of my favorite on-going series currently on the shelves. The creative team on this book is fantastic, and they deliver an amazing series and issue here. As the story progresses here, we learn a bit more about the world Archer originally came from, and we get some fantastic fight sequences. Still, "Archer and Armstrong" #3 is a compelling comic, with lots of action and rich backstory, and Van Lente's plot twists are refreshingly unpredictable. The final page's cliffhanger prominently displays some familiar and sinister iconography and readers will definitely want to know what happens next. Read Full Review

The humor really works in this issue, such as when a sinister group of killer nuns attack Archer and Armstrong, Armstrong calls them Nunjas. I have always liked a good combination of humor, action, characterization and story. Archer and Armstrong has all of these, and this issue ends on a cliff-hanger with nothing less than the fate of the world at stake. Read Full Review
