During a hellish night of bombing, Matty lends his Liberty News secure phone line to DMZ citizens to reach out to loved ones outside the city a direct violation of his contract. Is this the beginning of a new, compassionate Matty looking to atone? Or are more cynical motives at play? "Collective Punishment" ends here, setting the stage for the final year of the war in Manhattan.
To read this issue you might be confused as to how there could possibly be more to this series. I mean, everything gets leveled. Matty's character is completely broken down and the rebuilding begins here. Is there enough time left in this story to bring him back? Is he meant to be brought back? I recommend this issue because it makes for a very bleak character study as we see into the heart of the main one. This was a very good read. Read Full Review
