Now that the dust has settled, we now can see that another familiar element has been introduced to the issue. While it may fit the premise of outfitting normal humans for combat against superior foes, all of these similar concepts are detracting from what could have be an original idea in itself, if not for having to lean on the ideas of other publishers. Hopefully now that the characters have been established and the battle lines have been drawn, we will not have to see any more analogous notions and will be able to continue to a promising narrative. If not, there may be little hope for this story before it turns into another mundane tale. Read Full Review
If this was an issue of Injustice Gods Among Us, IXth Generation or for that matter Squadron Supreme or even Xena, then this might feel like a really good book, the problem is it draws so heavily from other series that it just feels repetitious. I understand that it is trying to be topical and allegorical, but unless you are Alan Moore creating Watchmen, this is bound to fail. Read Full Review
In terms of the actual plot – it's starting to move into it's own territory rather than a straight up mirror image of the Justice League. The ending sees the ‘Vampire Queen' Zyana come up with a plan to hunt down the rest of the human race. Lovely. But at least the writers are developing it a little further than we previously thought. Unfortunately, this doesn't save the rest ofEvil Heroes #2. Hopefully they introduce something truly intriguing to save this story other wise it's going to nose dive rapidly.
