Grimm Fairy Tales Steampunk is an interesting twist on that old west movie where we have the hero standing against all odds and he is carry only a six shooter, but this time it is attached to his cybernetic arm! While it may seem unusual to see our old friends in this strange setting, it does fit the Zenescope Universe where unlikely events turn into exhilarating stories crafted from the depths of a world of magic and exotic creatures. Where the final issue will take us all depends on Shand and Martello, but we are sure to enjoy that wild horse ride, as long as the animal is equipped with its own set of bionic legs! Fans of Zenescope's Grimm Fairy Tales will fall easily into the universe created in this issue, losing themselves in the fun (and sometimes borderline insane) characters, the hijinks, and the heist plot throughout. Beautifully drawn and well written, this steampunk edition of a favorite comic will draw readers both old and new. It's got guns, a vibe reminiscent of Borderlands and westerns, and it's all-around tons of fun–a definite read for anyone who was a fan ofGrimm initially and an easy story to fall into for readers that maybe aren't quite as familiar with Zenescope's series. A great story slips and slides in its storytelling due to the artwork. For a cover price of $5.99 I expect stronger, consistent visuals. Still, the story was enjoyablesoI'll return to see how this plays out in its concluding chapter. Read Full Review
