Few places have seen more death and despair than West Virginia Penitentiary. Closed in 1995 it should have stayed that way forever but someone saw fit to reopen it and now strange forces seem to be claiming more lives. Even The Spirit Hunters team may not be able to stop this prisons reign of terror.
This is what a good narrative should do for the characters: expand on their experiences which make them what they are and at the same time, open the readers' mind into their own world. While we are still left as to wondering what will happen next to this cast, the title holds interest as a whole with these connections. Although the essence of the investigations keeps our attention, it is the artwork which shows us what is happening, which is unfortunate for this issue. A lack of detail makes one wonder why the people are here, as Ellen appears in her opening panel. I would be lax if I did not say that the story was enjoyable, but the envisioning made it a burden at times, almost as if we were stunned into shock by that opening page. Read Full Review
