After the events of the last issue, Robyn is infected with a powerful vampire serum that is being tested on humans subjects. Now Liesel must find those responsible for creating the terrifying drug while she simultaneously looks for a way to cure her best friend before she's forced to kill her.
Van Helsing vs. Robyn Hood is shaping up to become something with the appeal of a hunt, but with the novelty and need to protect their friendship. We have seen this type of conflict shown before, two compatriots on opposing sides, however it is not often when they are done so against their own morality. Even as we watch the drama unfold, the anticipation of seeing the inevitability come to a head only makes the waiting all the more painful. Now with the series half over, who can guess what is waiting – will Robyn give into the hunger or can Liesel save her friend before it happens? Why does a month always have to be so long? Robyn has gone vampire and Liesel has been captured. I love the action that both characters encounter and the visuals give the leads some awesome moments. If you're a fan of either character, you'll want to pick this up. If you've never read either's exploits, this is a terrific introduction. Read Full Review
