Following Catwoman's answer to his marriage proposal, Batman leaves Gotham City on a quest of renewal and redemption in the desert. As he travels and fights, he encounters members of his family-each disturbed by Batman's journey, each ready to stand in his way and push back against his stubborn determination to evolve into something better than a superhero. Has the Caped Crusader passed the point of no return? He's going to need a little help from his friends, but this help comes with a downside: Batman's true intentions will be exposed. Collects BATMAN #33-37 and BATMAN ANNUAL #2.

Fantastic! The first three issues were really good and the story kept me interested throughout it all. Art was absolutely great and there's really nothing else to add. Definitely worth a read. After the third issue we get to "SUPERFRIENDS", a story about Superman and Batman and it was amazing. The best part about it was the reflection of Superman and Batman's friendship and how they view each other. I thought it was really good and it definitely made me smile. "SUPERFRIENDS" was probably my favorite part of this volume. Now, about the Annual. It was perfect. One of the best Batman stories King ever wrote. It was a touching story that every Batman fan should read. And while it's more different than your typical Batman story it's more

Batman and Catwoman embark on a desert adventure to meet someone surprising. The book is yet another versatile work from Tom King as it set in an expected premise and provides exceptional results. The book in addition features more into Batman-Superman meeting and much more. The biggest plus of the book is a future story which was the best Bat-Cat read for me!On the whole Tom King succeeds on his course of versatility again!
