I'll say the same thing i've said when i finished the Long Halloween: M.A.S.T.E.R.P.I.E.C.E.! This is a PERFECT follow up, although it has the same story structure of The Long Haloween(actually is the only story structure that Loeb knows how to use lol) the inclusion of Robin here is gives this a very distinctive feeling from the last series. Even better than its antecessor, "Dark Victory" ends the first part of Bruce Wayne journey as Batman, bringing closure to a lot of the characters first introduced in "Year One". The plot-twist is really good, the whole storyline and mistery around the Hang Man is well build. And also - Dick Grayson! Yes.

i didn't realize this when I first read this years ago, but to me dark victory is essentially part 2 of the long Halloween. I know a lot of people will find that obvious, but I mean it in the way that everything wraps up so perfectly in the long Halloween that it feels like dark victory was always planned. honestly, i believe it was. great book
