this is a great story to check out if you have not read it yet.

very grim. even though it's full of sex, violence, and depravity, there is a heart to this story.

that heart comes from Happy, the imaginary friend of a little girl named Hailey who has been kidnapped.

from reading the story you can tell Happy really loves his friend Hailey and will do anything he has to to save her. even if it means he'll have to seek the help of fallen ex-cop Nix Sax, who really could be bothered.

Happy tries to convince Nick to help, but Nick is more concerned with his own selfish needs.

will Happy be able to get Nick to save Hailey before it's too late?

i have to say, i really love this story!

Happy is too adorable, and lovable. seeing him try to win over Nick felt very real, and i was completely sold on his concern for the well being for his best friend.

it's also worth noting that this isn't the typical cryptic writing of Grant Morrison's.

it's more straight forward, like his writing for stories like 'WE3'. (another great story if you've not read it.

i almost wasn't going to buy this re-release, since i already own the single issues, and the hardcover. but it's a Grant Morrison story i really love, so i don't mind the extra dip.
