Animal Man Annual #1 | 0 |
This was a real mixed bag. I liked the horror elements and overall the writing is solid and entertaining and thematically focused. But some decisions such as the blatant and consistent mischaracterisation of Buddy, the awful and misogynistic issue about Ellen, and the last 6 issues entirely really dragged it down, despite incredible arcs at the beginning , including the disappearance of Maxine. I’m glad Lemire used these elements and did them better.
