This creative team successfully keeps up the fun of Primer's first graphic novel. Man, I really hope they get to wrap up the cliffhanger they set up here in a potential third entry
Primer Clashing Colors
Ashley wants nothing more than to be taken seriously as a superhero--she can't help it that things don't always go as planned! And when the Teen Titans roll into town chasing after their infamous nemesis, Deathstroke, Ashley just knows this is her chance to prove that Primer has what it takes to join the team. The only thing is, her parents still e...
I realize this is intended for younger audiences, but tell me why am I, as a grown man, so invested in this character now? I genuinely cannot think of anything wrong with this graphic novel.
Primer OGN
Primer introduces a brand-new superhero with a colorful array of superpowers.
Ashley Rayburn is an upbeat girl with a decidedly downbeat past. Her father is a known criminal who now sits in federal prison, but still casts a shadow over Ashley's life. Ashley has bounced from foster home to foster home and represents a real challenge to the socia...

Invincible Iron Man Vol. 3: Iron And Diamonds
Gerry Duggan continues to intertwine the worlds of Iron Man and the X-Men!
With the X-Men facing extermination at the hands of Orchis and their Stark Sentinels, Iron Man - now married to Emma Frost - is desperate to make things right. To do that, he'll need more than an armor - he'll need an army. But who will answer the call? And can they...

Invincible Iron Man Vol. 2: The Wedding Of Tony Stark And Emma Frost
Tony Stark is in dire need of a win! As always, his plan involves building a new suit of armor. But the upgraded Iron Man's first objective is…to infiltrate and destroy Stark Industries?! Then, as the X-Men throw their latest Hellfire Gala, Shellhead contends with the new Stark Sentinels flying through New York! Krakoa and Iron Man have a mutual ...
This is the most consistent and well-paced Iron Man run I've read in years. Despite the heavy ties to the Krakoa era, they complement the story far more often than they distract from it. Gerry Duggan is a writer who rarely misses for me, especially on characters' solo books. He is no different on this book, having a great grasp on Tony Stark as a character.
Invincible Iron Man Vol. 1: Demon In The Armor
Tony Stark has lost it all. His company, his money - maybe even his sobriety. But Stark doesn't realize he still has so much more to lose, especially when assassins start to come for him! As a familiar foe returns to destroy him once and for all, at least Ironheart is in Tony's corner. But what secret is Riri Williams harboring, and will it change ...
It's a Saturday morning cartoon episode of Thor and Loki in comic form. I say that as an absolute positive.
Thor & Loki: Double Trouble Collected
They're brothers, gods and sons of Odin - but Thor and Loki just don't get along! Especially since Loki keeps tricking Thor into doing things that will get him in trouble. Even so, when Loki dares Thor to steal a powerful relic from Odin's vault, how can the God of Thunder say nay? As Loki summons a serpent set on city-smashing, Thor has to clean u...
Man, what happened to Ann Nocenti? I genuinely loved her work on Daredevil and Longshot for Marvel. Her credits on New 52 titles have easily been her worst work, and her Catwoman is easily the worst offender. Some of the most incoherent and inconsistent writing I've ever read. Hell, the only consistency is the book's quality under her pen. I strongly advise reading any issue of New 52 Catwoman not more
Catwoman Vol. 3: Death Of The Family
Catwoman must stay one step of The Joker ahead as he terrorizes Batman and his allies during Death of the Family. Then, Catwoman is hired to steal the Black Diamondthe source of Eclipsos power! Collecting CATWOMAN #0, 13-18 and a story from YOUNG ROMANCE #1.
I'm usually a fan of these kinds of books where a character from that universe is pitted against everyone else. It's not an extraordinary concept; the stories are always simple, but they don't overstay their welcome. It's meant to be a brief but fun, turn-your-brain-off type of book. My only real complaint with this one is that, for being the main selling point, Ninjak doesn't fight nearly enough more
Ninjak vs. The Valiant Universe Collected
A blistering battle royale!
Watch the live-action digital series, then jump headlong into the fight-fueled showdown of the century as acclaimed writer Eliot Rahal (The Paybacks) and red-hot artist Joe Bennett (Teen Titans, Deathstroke) reveal the full scope and adrenaline-drenched intensity of NINJAK VS. THE VALIANT UNIVERSE!
Long ago, this was my introduction to Jeff Lemire and Matt Kindt as writers. This gave me a very strong impression of both of them as writers, and honestly? It still holds up, especially so with the turn the Valiant Universe took since that era. Great introduction into the Universe too.
The Valiant Vol. 1
A battle ten millennia in the making is about to begin...
The Eternal Warrior has protected the Earth for more than 10,000 years. A master of countless weapons and long forgotten martial arts, he is guided by the Geomancers - those who speak for the Earth. During his long watch, the Eternal Warrior has failed three times. Each time, th...

Action Comics #849
In part 2 of the 2-part "Redemption" storyline, Superman is about to become mankind's doom! The real control behind the power Superman has been fighting is revealed, and Superman will need help from an unexpected place in order to stop this dangerous new threat!
Superman is an ideal vessel for this kind of story. It goes out of its way to challenge how people view faith and morality, and does so without antagonizing religion. I appreciate when a comic can be this bold with its themes, so huge credit to Nicieza for executing so well on this premise.
Action Comics #848
In part 1 of the 2-part "Redemption" storyline, Superman travels the world from the wilds of Colorado to the plains of Africa to battle an uncontrollable power who draws their energy from an unbelievable source!
It's Dwayne McDuffie writing Superman. Need I say more?
Action Comics #847
In this companion issue to the "Last Son" storyline, Ma and Pa Kent discuss the disappearance of Superman during his battle with General Zod. Pa recalls an adventure he and Superman had years ago involving a trip they took together deep into space - and their frightening encounter with a Sun-Eater!
