This creative team successfully keeps up the fun of Primer's first graphic novel. Man, I really hope they get to wrap up the cliffhanger they set up here in a potential third entry

I realize this is intended for younger audiences, but tell me why am I, as a grown man, so invested in this character now? I genuinely cannot think of anything wrong with this graphic novel.

This is the most consistent and well-paced Iron Man run I've read in years. Despite the heavy ties to the Krakoa era, they complement the story far more often than they distract from it. Gerry Duggan is a writer who rarely misses for me, especially on characters' solo books. He is no different on this book, having a great grasp on Tony Stark as a character.

It's a Saturday morning cartoon episode of Thor and Loki in comic form. I say that as an absolute positive.

Man, what happened to Ann Nocenti? I genuinely loved her work on Daredevil and Longshot for Marvel. Her credits on New 52 titles have easily been her worst work, and her Catwoman is easily the worst offender. Some of the most incoherent and inconsistent writing I've ever read. Hell, the only consistency is the book's quality under her pen. I strongly advise reading any issue of New 52 Catwoman not written by Nocenti. Hell, as indifferent as I feel about Frank Tieri as a writer, even his closing arc is a genuine godsend compared to what Nocenti has written for this character. Avoid her run.more

I'm usually a fan of these kinds of books where a character from that universe is pitted against everyone else. It's not an extraordinary concept; the stories are always simple, but they don't overstay their welcome. It's meant to be a brief but fun, turn-your-brain-off type of book. My only real complaint with this one is that, for being the main selling point, Ninjak doesn't fight nearly enough as I would have expected.more

Long ago, this was my introduction to Jeff Lemire and Matt Kindt as writers. This gave me a very strong impression of both of them as writers, and honestly? It still holds up, especially so with the turn the Valiant Universe took since that era. Great introduction into the Universe too.

Superman is an ideal vessel for this kind of story. It goes out of its way to challenge how people view faith and morality, and does so without antagonizing religion. I appreciate when a comic can be this bold with its themes, so huge credit to Nicieza for executing so well on this premise.
