I love Delano's and Ennis's Hellblazer runs. This one was better. It's possible the comics market isn't big enough to support this sort of book anymore, which is a shame, because I wrapped up this story looking at the final black page and cursing that this was it. This is probably my favorite issue of the run. And it's such an incredible shame that this is the end. If DC had any sense, they'd bring it back, even if the sales aren't what they'd like. Sometimes a story is worth publishing even if it's not a major seller. It'd look good to have one of the most critically acclaimed and universally praised series on shelves.

What a perfect conclusion to a near-perfect run. I keep thinking back to Constantine's earlier runs, and I'm not sure even Delano's 1988-1991 had this level of character grit and bold urban mustiness. Not only that, but the art is absolutely stunning throughout.
