Zodiac Starforce is a love letter to magical girl anime and manga, with western take on it. It manages to do an excellent job of giving you enough information to set up the world, characters and mission but it doesn't beat you over the head with all of the tiny details that some other comics tend to do in the first issue. Paulina and Kevin make an incredible team as they both share the same love for these types of stories which makes everything a lot more convincing. The duo have done their research. The characters are fun and well rounded. Even though this is only the first issue, I feel like I already know these girls or have met these girls at some point in my life and I want to be friends with them! Paulina's art is gorgeous and the colors are like a cotton-candy bubble gum fantasy that I never want to be over. I'm incredibly excited to see how the rest of the story unfolds and hope that we get to see more of these characters beyond the 4 issue run.
