As always, Skottie Young's art is A++. You pick up with Gert amassing the mantle as Queen on Fairyland and all the bureaucracy and listening to complaining that comes with it, which we all know couldn't be a worse fit for Gert. The story felt a little rushed and ended a little quick. I would have liked to see this story go on for at least another issue. Then again who wants to see Gert sign papers for two or three issues (crickets). BUT glad to see that Gert is back in action. Really enjoying this comic! Just hope that the coming issues have longer arcs.

Azzarello does it again with gritty, dark, and effective story telling. Romita Jr.'s art shines in this book. The relationships between Bruce, Alfred, Jason, Selina, and the public were concise and refreshing. The debating of whether batman was good or not didn't dominate the story like "Dark Knight Returns" I felt. Overall a lot of comic for $7, pacing kept you in the story, and one of my favorite Joker's artist and development wise.
