Green lanterns has served as a reliable, simple, and accessible super hero comic. With the begging of the phantom ring story arc, (this issue) it becomes much more than that. Frank Laminski is the heart and soul of this issue and is a very compelling character that gives us a unique perceptive of the corps from the eyes of an ordinary person. Also, WE GOT VOLTHOOM!

I just want to start off with saying that this is one of my favorite series out right now, and it's one issue in. Riri Williams get a vivid, compelling and somewhat dark origin that feels perfect for her character. She is an excellent, exaggerated, portrayal of a troubled gifted child. Did i forget to mention the issue is absolutely gorgeous?
