Batman (2016) #10

This was a Writer's Showcase, aside from the stellar pencils in this book. This issue is a slow drink, not something to be devoured in mere minutes. With mellow ambient music, this issue completely took me away... Read it for yourself. Take my recommendations of setting. A masterpiece.

King's work is breathtaking. Every issue I've read of Batman Rebirth had me at the edge of my seat, holding my breath or in deep contemplation. This is the best Batman I've ever known. This arc reveals that love is Batman's weakness. But that ethics and justice rule over his heart. Having her on this mission, Wayne hopes to get her free from her death sentence by way of "making up the damage", by helping in a damgerous, good cause. But when the Cat is in a corner she will fight for her life. Her decisions are selfish in the extreme but justified. I can't wait to see what's next!

A very satisfying, very FUN issue. The artwork is just phenomenal; vibrancy on the page and brain as I read it. I am a big fan of character development. To see the Marijuanas, I mean Mary Janes, fleshed out a bit more was pretty cool. I'm so in love with this series. Got each one hung on my wall. Can't wait for next issue!

Silk (2015) #13

OMG...no...my fear is coming to light! This series is very potentially being killed off by bad writing / editing! Don't do this to all us Silk fans! This direction is horrible! Sure, some may like it. But not enough fans to keep this book afloat for long. Some love Ford's artwork. I do like it, however a new cleaner, sharper, more serious artist will be damn refreshing. Robbie Thompson is really pissing me off now. Time to yank him away and inject a new writer who actually CARES for Silk's potential and prosperous future. Next month's issue is my deciding factor for this series. I might just have to drop this book and be severely depressed. So sad...
