I love the art; I love that it's different from anything I've ever seen in a DC comic before. I'm equally drawn in by the story and the cosmic nature of the fight between Anubis and Bastet. I desperately hope that the writers leave the Egyptian mythological pantheon as ephemeral, and mystic forces of nature and don't water them down to a typical cast of superheroes and supervillains as Thor has done to Norse mythology and various characters have done to Greek mythology. |

Reminds me of Swamp Thing's run with its tinge of horror. I love Mr. Biscuits. |

I really enjoyed this book; I was able to just sink into the story enough that I forgot to care about the technical details of execution. Instead, I really felt angry and sad and excited as I read the book, reacting to the characters actions. I'd definitely recommend this as a book to pick up, and I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes. |

I enjoyed this book; it didn't blow me away, but I liked it. I'm looking forward to seeing just what Montoya's up to, which cops are good, and which cops are bad. |

To me, this was a fun space story. It wasn't the most complex or intriguing comic I've ever read, but it was a fun little book. I do wish that I hadn't been forced to look up back story to really understand the full scope of what's going on; and the Black Hand bit at the end seemed abrupt, but, overall, not a bad book in the least. |

Not bad, not great. For me, there was a whole lot to like in this book, but not a lot to love. |
