Titans (2016) #23 |

It is such a relief to see the Titans treated with respect again. It looks like Metal gave them a proper role in the Reborn universe after 22 issues of disappointing art and storylines. This roster and plot resemble the Young Justice animated series, and FINALLY get them to do something beaidesother than endlessly wonder about why they’re together. |

Black Panther (2005) #39 |

Issues 39-41 are my favorite Secret Invasion tie-ins. I recently read the entire event (thanks, Marvel Universe) and this was the one title that made me skip the correct reading order. I just had to know how this was going to end. Making the fight between Skrulls and Wakanda a technological war was extremely entertainment, and seeing the “human” side of Skrulls was very refreshing. Last but not least: Jefte Palo, what a perfect choice for this. |

Justice League: Odyssey #1 |

This is a great start. Sejic’s art by itself makes this book worthy it, it’s so beautiful and idealized, yet very life-like. I always enjoy his choices for character design too, which consistently tell a story about who they are, and where they come from. The story is intriguing, and makes it clear on issue one how [redacted] ended up in this team, while still leaving enough mystery for us to wonder what’s next. I also appreciate the pace of this book, current DC books often feel like stories are stretched for too long, or rushed without the necessary development. Issue one took its time defining these characters’ motivations and how they relate to each other, but also advanced the plot enough to make me wish this was a weekly. |
