Overall this book was a decent read, I didn't know much about the Blood Cult, so it's good to be able to read a somewhat origin story about them. I know Abnett didn't give us much Titans in this issue, but that's because he's saving it all up for the next one I'm sure! Also don't forget that Raven's soul self is still trapped in Unearth as well, meaning that a rescue mission will be underway along with the confrontation with the cult! Can't wait to read the next issue! Read Full Review

While it's unfortunate the best issue of the Titans of late has next to nothing to do with the titular group, it puts the title into a very interesting spot with the buildup of this Mother Blood battle looming large. Read Full Review

All in all, despite my criticisms, this issue still kept me intrigued for what is coming next. While I can't say I'm the biggest Brother Blood or Blood Cult fan, the ideas are interesting and I will certainly be reading onwards. This issue just feels like a slight misstep in a series I am otherwise enjoying quite a lot, so while I may have appeared to talk down on it, overall I would still recommend giving this one a read. Hate to say it, but despite this issue, which is not a bad one, I am still left feeling that it would be wisest to just pull the plug on this series. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Dan Mayhoff Jan 2, 2019

This issue is really entertaining and well written for the most part. However, near the end it drags quite a bit and there isn't a whole lot of story progression if any at all. That being said, It was a page-turner and I can't really complain too much about that. Read Full Review

Comic Watch - Matt Meyer Jan 9, 2019

An unfortunate misstep from a usually-reliable writer, this issue plays it far too safe to be compelling. There are some hints of good things to come, but readers will at least need to wait until next issue to discover them. Read Full Review

Unfortunately, just like most of the rest of this title, it's not that interesting " more a series of ideas in search of a plotline. Read Full Review
