I do unambiguously love the cover though. Animal Man leaving a trail of blood in front of a Red Thunder movie poster. Red Thunder looks far more glorious than he does within the pages, and it contrasts quite well with the bloody and broken Animal Man. It's visually striking and made me really excited to see the story of Buddy's movie. Shame again that the anticipation was the sweetest part of the comic.

The cover is the only art Paolo Rivera contributes to Daredevil #8, and unfortunately, I'm not that impressed. I like the upside down duality between Spider-Man and Daredevil, creating something of a very red ying-yang, but it's just boring honestly. Doesn't communicate the mood or plot of the story at all beyond the fact that Spider-Man is in it. Just standing around on a fire escape, it's boring.

The cover is probably the weakest part of the issue. Honestly, it's a little bland next to the issue itself. And yes, the cover does feature a zombified little girl eating her father's face. And I'm telling you it's tame compared to what's inside the pages. Let that sink in for a second.

If you haven't been reading Daredevil, issue #7 is a great jumping on point.
